BEM Institute for Theological Studies

Purpose:
To respond to the request of Pastors for recognition of theological studies through BEM;
To equip workers with a more extensive understanding of the Bible, Theology and Pastoral Practice for the work of the ministry.

Two Levels of Study:
I. Christian Workers Certificate (For all students desiring a fuller understanding of the Scripture)
II. Pastoral Studies Diploma (Specifically for pastors who have a High School Education and who are engaged in ministry.)

Details:
Each Course would be a two-week course that meets 4 days a week (Tues. - Fri) and will include testing for comprehension.
Pastor John will work to get recognition by the Ministry of Cults in Haiti for official governmental recognition of the BEM Institute for Theological Studies.
Teachers will provide printed/translated notes to be added to the BEM Institute for Theological Studies notebook.
Each Pastor will contribute some small monetary amount to give this course of study a sense of worth. Students will be expected to continue to study in these areas upon completion of the course and to teach the information, either to someone they are mentoring, or to their congregation as a whole (sermons and/or Bible study classes).
The expectation is to have BEM faculty teach at least four courses per year. Haitian pastors may be used as well as American pastors as professors in their area of expertise.
After a four-year period of study, a graduation ceremony would follow, granting a Diploma of Pastoral Studies.
